I did this trail as part of a loop. Started from Allenspark trailhead to Calypso cascades (this trail) then went from Calypso cascades to the Wild Basin trailhead, then walked on the road for about 0.3 miles to the Finch Lake trailhead and used that trail to return to the Allenspark trail and followed the Allenspark trail back to the trailhead. Is a total of about 8 miles but the trails were relatively easy with only a few rocky uphills and downhills but all in good condition. It took about 1.5 hours to the cascades, 1.5 to the Finch Lake trailhead and then 1.25 hours back to the Allenspark trailhead including a 15-30 min lunch break. The first part is the most scenic and also the least crowded..didn't see anyone until I got to the cascades. Then a fair number of people on the way down but mostly towards the Wild basin trailhead, then no one else on the way back. The cascades are really nice and the trail back to Wild basin follows a creek that had lots of water and a couple of other waterfalls. Many aspens in full fall colors in all the trails as well. One of my favorite hikes...lots of bang for the buck.
