Indian Peaks Wilderness Glacier Rim Trail

Indian Peaks Wilderness: Glacier Rim Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Arapaho Glacier is the most southern glacier in the Rocky Mountains, and it is melting. This trail takes you to the glacier along a high and exposed route that earns its place among the longest and most difficult in this book.

Not much is left of the glacier, which is surrounded by high mountain peaks and alpine tundra, but its destination is a reward and a good turnaround point. An alternate access leads to the glacier overlook, but this one is a better workout, is more scenic, and is less used."
