Test Track Professional Reviews and Guides
"This ride is just one of the routes available in Durango Mountain Park, the city-annexed chunk of land located roughly west of the Crestview subdivision, in the shadow of Perins Peak. Criss-crossed with quality singletrack, this area is known informally as the Test Track, a casual name that could give would-be riders the wrong impression. This brief but exciting lariat loop—a loop with a tail on it, giving it the general appearance of a rope lasso on the map—is not regarded as a great ride…by Durango’s standards, that is. In any other town, it would be. With its steep climb and smooth, swooping descent, this is actually one of my favorite short trail rides. Trail Surface: 45% singletrack/widetrack and 55% paved roads."
