Lime Mesa

Lime Mesa Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Wildflowers and views of the magnificent Needle Mountains are yours on this fine day hike. In the summer, you may find sheep grazing in the area. Free registration (available online, at managing agency, or major trailheads) needed for both day hikers and overnight backpackers. Contact the managing agency for current information.

Sign the register, which you’ll find at the trailhead, and then begin your hike on Lime Mesa Trail 676. You’ll slowly gain altitude as you walk across Lime Mesa. You’ll enter small stands of trees on occasion, but the nicest thing about this hike is that you stay mainly out in the open, where wonderful views are yours for the asking."
