West Denver Path Loop Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This loop on the west side rolls almost 60 miles from downtown Denver to Golden and Morrison, and back to the Platte, mostly on off-street paths. This isn’t a garden-party, country-club, Sunday-stroll sort of outing. This ride takes you way out west, via the gritty and unglamorous north side, tracing the city’s most important industrial arteries: the Platte River and Clear Creek.
The loop reaches all the way to Golden, then returns by way of scenic Bear Creek Lake Park. Not a simple or casual outing, this hefty ride requires plenty of climbing (too much?) as it loops around Golden. By the time you get back downtown, your legs most likely will be feeling the distance."
