The Three-Park Tour Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"A quick, on-road jaunt in central Denver, visiting three of Denver’s nicest parks: Washington Park, Cheesman Park, and City Park. All three parks are equipped with fun little loops for casual cyclists. Washington Park is kind of a mess sometimes—tons of people, walking, bicycling, dog-walking, running, wandering. It used to be common for bicyclists to
turn laps here with decent speed; impromptu pace lines would coalesce and zip around the rolling 2.2-mile loop from dawn to dusk.
Quasi-race conditions would develop, as oats-filled riders would pop off the front and others would try to chase them down. Even then, when the park was about half as full with
foot traffic as it is now, these training sessions were rude and inadvisable and caused a lot of anger and resentment among other park users."
