Dillon Pinnacles Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This short and easy hike along the north shore of Blue Mesa Reservoir culminates with an up-close vista of the impressive Dillon Pinnacles. Rising at the south end of the West Elk Mountains, these unusual formations offer picturesque evidence that this region resulted from an extended period of volcanic activity."

It was a fairly easy trail with a few up and down climbs. It was rated as moderate. The view of the Pinnacle were okay, but we weren't that close. The view of Blue Mesa was very nice and the weather couldn't have been better. We had hiked down in the Black Canyon the day before, so this hike paled in comparison. A good hike for a novice.

Great place to explore and if you're ultra quiet you can see herds of bighorn sheep.
