Lost Trail Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Sometimes a long drive on a dirt road ends in disappointment, but sometimes you are rewarded for enduring those bumpy, bouncy, dusty rides. In this case, you find Lost Trail Campground. Lost Trail sits in a beautiful valley surrounded on three sides by the San Juans, which form a horseshoe around the headwaters of the Rio Grande, which flow past your tent.
There are two outstanding hiking areas nearby and two fishing reservoirs close by as well. The campsites are spread along a rocky road with a vehicle turnaround at the end. Don't worry too much about privacy - most people who drive this far are going to be like-minded tent campers who want to get way off the beaten track."
