Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"How steep is the road to the summit of Pikes Peak, elevation 14,115 feet? Steep enough that visitors arriving by automobile are asked to save all picture-taking stops for the descent, thus reducing the chance of overheating brakes. So steep that it’s recommended you don’t use air conditioning on the way up to help avoid engine failure."
