Perimeter Loop

Perimeter Loop Professional Review and Guide

"This 417-acre park sits in the northeast quadrant of Colorado Springs, and offers several access points to more than 4 miles of trails. In addition to the trail network, there are two ponds, playgrounds, picnic facilities, and a dog park, making Fox Run the most visited of the nine parks in the El Paso County parks system. In the winter months, the trails are wide enough to enjoy cross-country skiing. This perimeter loop is run in a counterclockwise direction starting on the northernmost of the three trails adjacent to the restroom. After a short half-mile climb, the trail is gently rolling, but mostly downhill until the 2-mile mark. The final mile has a climb back to the start point. Trails are wide and smooth with an occasional tree root and exposed rock."
