"Manitou Lake Trail is an easy, mile-long trail that encircles Manitou Lake north of Woodland Park and Pikes Peak. It’s an ideal hike for families and children with easy grades, nature study, and scenic views.
Manitou Lake Picnic Area, administered by Pike National Forest, is a small parkland north of Woodland Park. The easy, mile-long Manitou Lake Trail #670, strolling around the perimeter of the scenic 5-acre Manitou Lake, offers superb views of snowcapped Pikes Peak to the south, good bird-watching with a variety of songbirds and waterfowl, and fishing in the trout-stocked lake. Hand-paddled craft like canoes are allowed on the lake, but swimming and motor boats are not permitted."
