Intemann Falls

Intemann Falls Professional Review and Guide

"This ephemeral slide fall is situated off the main trail in a dark and quiet hideaway, offering a peaceful respite from the busy maze of trails at Section 16. Fed by an unnamed source from the northeast, even at its thinnest “Intemann Falls” is worth a visit.

This trailhead sees a high volume of foot and paw traffic year-round, providing access to Section 16 (Palmer Loop) Trail and numerous off shoots of the Ring the Peak trail system. The hike starts through dense brush, thick with gambel oak, prickly pear, and yucca, but after a short time rises high enough for views of sandstone slabs at Red Rock Canyon Open Space and the city of Colorado Springs."
