Continental Divide Traill-Cumbres Pass to Elwood Pass-Shuttle Hike Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Continental Divide Trail (CDT) through the South San Juan Wilderness is one of the most memorable backpacks a hiker can make, with stunning views, breathless scenes, and wildflowers galore. Although you can hike north to south, I describe the hike from south to north for several reasons.

First, my husband and I live closer to Elwood Pass, and we wanted to end up closer to home. More importantly, I think the hike just gets more and more beautiful as you hike to the north. I guess you could say I like to save the best for last! Note: Snow conditions in early summer and early fall may make hiking the trail difficult."
