Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"If you asked a group of Colorado bike racers to name the most famous race route in the state, it’s a safe bet the Morgul-Bismark Loop would garner the majority vote.

While not the most scenic or challenging ride in the state, its place in Colorado cycling lore is secure thanks to starring roles in both the famed Coors Classic bike race and the movie American Flyers, a campy 1985 Kevin Costner ?ick about bike racing."

"This short loop rambles through the rolling hills south of Boulder on a race course steeped in tradition. Terrain: While not in the mountains or even in the foothills, this area is much hillier than the relative flatlands northeast of Boulder. Traffic and hazards: This entire loop is on very busy rural/suburban roads and highways, but shoulders have been expanded all the way around after decades of very heavy and regular use by recreational cyclists."
