Panorama Point

Panorama Point Professional Review and Guide

"The views from this spot are extraordinary, encompassing a long stretch of the Continental Divide. Golden Gate Canyon State Park is less than an hour by car from Denver. The park, which requires a day-use fee, is excellent for families, contains many trails, picnic areas, campsites and other attractions.

Fishing and horseback riding are permitted. The best overlook in the park is from Panorama Point. The gorgeous view of the Indian Peaks and Longs Peak from this spot at the Ken R. Larkin Memorial Shelter is enhanced by a wooden deck which displays a plaque, naming and locating all of the peaks on the horizon. Ken was a young outdoorsman from Kansas City who loved the Colorado mountains."
