The Grottos Loop Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"For a look at what’s to come, take the accessible trail, starting at the parking lot’s west side, and turn left onto the boardwalk.

The smooth gravel path stays north of the river as it enters a pine forest and within 0.1 mile leads to views of the waterfall. Return via the same trail. The slightly longer walking trail begins at the footbridge spanning the Roaring Fork River. After crossing, turn left, following the rocky path marked by a sign for the ice caves."

Not much of a hike but a great place to hang out and just be a kid. The area is well shaded and has tons of slaby rock to climb on. The falls are worth the little effort it takes to reach them. Make sure you crawl down into the ice cave. A must do in my book.
