Taylor River Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This twenty-mile stretch of river flows through a beautiful valley with scenery and water changing around every bend. The Taylor offers fly fishers some interesting opportunities, especially below the dam where a very small public stretch of water holds large rainbow trout.
These Mysis shrimp-fed fish, however, are very difficult to hook, let alone land. Downstream past some private water there are smaller fish, but the catching is easier. Types of Fish: Rainbow and brown trout with more browns downstream. This eTrail covers the "where, when, and how" to fish in this region. You'll get a full-page map and information on the known hatches, suggested equipment to bring, and the best flies to use."
