Appalachian Trail is a hiking trail in North Carolina and Tennessee. It is within Cherokee National Forest. It is 25.5 miles long and begins at 3,647 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 52.2 miles with a total elevation gain of 21,323 feet. The Pisgah National Forest and Cherokee National Forest forests, Lick Rock (elevation 4,570 feet), High Rocks (elevation 4,291 feet), Divide Mountain (elevation 4,564 feet), High Rock (elevation 4,452 feet), High Rock (elevation 4,459 feet), Little Bald (elevation 5,108 feet), Little Bald (elevation 5,167 feet), and Big Bald (elevation 5,492 feet), and the Bald Mountain Shelter and Flint Mountain Shelter can be seen along the trail.
