South Fork of Tincup Professional Reviews and Guides

"A shuttle hike or loop is available along three different creek drainages and lush meadows. This hike also serves as an entrance point to a wild, roadless area in the Caribou Mountains.

The trail begins after you cross the bridge over Tin Cup Creek at its confluence with the South Fork. Continue hiking on the trail along the right side of the South Fork of Tin Cup. This riparian or riverland area is a delicate home to many plant and animal species. Beavers are commonly seen in the creek busy at work. Sheep are grazed periodically in this general area but keep along the drier hillsides. After 2 miles of hiking up and down through forests and clearings parallel to the creek, an easy crossing puts you on the left side. Shortly after this comes the trail junction to Brush Creek."
