Oak Glen Preserve Professional Review and Guide
"Oak Glen, tucked away in the foothills below Yucaipa Ridge, is famous for its apple orchards and New England scenery. The Wildlands Conservancy has established its headquarters at Los Rios Rancho. Here you will find a nature trail that leads through a historic orchard and evergreen forest to a pond and then along a creek. This family-friendly trail has special merits in the fall during apple-picking season, in the winter when the Yucaipa Ridge is blanketed in snow, and in the spring when the sweet scent of blooms draw butterflies to the orchards. The trail is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Bring a picnic or purchase lunch and a homemade apple pie at the adjacent restaurant."
