Tree Of Heaven Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The Tree of Heaven Campground comes as a stunning surprise. One moment you are driving along the Klamath in high sage country. You pass an old-time girder bridge (Ash Creek Bridge), sweep around a curve, and see the Forest Service sign to the Tree of Heaven Campground. The entry drive drops suddenly down to the river, and there you are at the Tree of Heaven Campground, and you suddenly feel like you’ve been invited to an English garden party. All over there’s green, tended grass. The campsites are on grass.
The Klamath rolls by the campground like a watery muscle. Most campers swim right in front of the camp off the boat launch. Here the river runs pretty slowly, but everybody keeps a close eye on any kids, pets, or poor swimmers because this water is headed for the Pacific Ocean. Fishing can be great."
