The Tree of Heaven Campground comes as a stunning surprise. One moment you are driving along the Klamath in high sage country. You pass an old-time girder bridge (Ash Creek Bridge), sweep around a curve, and see the Forest Service sign to the Tree of Heaven Campground. The entry drive drops suddenly down to the river, and there you are at the Tree of Heaven Campground, and you suddenly feel like you’ve been invited to an English garden party. All over there’s green, tended grass. The campsites are on grass.
