This is a rugged multiday shuttle hike following the course of the Tuolumne River downstream from Tuolumne Meadows as it tumbles over waterfalls and cascades, including the famous Waterwheels, through the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne almost as far as Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. The trail drops all the way to 4,200 feet before laboring back up 3,600 feet to White Wolf at the very end. It's a wild, exhilarating hike for those in good condition. You will need two cars, leaving one at White Wolf, the other at the Glen Aulin Trailhead, or take advantage of the Tuolumne Meadows Shuttle.
