Lukens Lake

Lukens Lake Professional Review and Guide

"Lukens Lake is a scenic mountain lake forested along the north and west sides. To the south and east of the lake are beautiful meadows covered in wildflowers. There are two trails leading to the lake. Both trails are easy hikes and lead through lush forests. The map includes the trails from both directions. The longer route begins at White Wolf Lodge. The shorter route begins along the Tioga Road."

More Lukens Lake Professional Reviews and Guides

"The walk to Lukens Lake is exquisite during the wildflower season, usually June–mid-July, for the trail takes you past one lush, forest-ringed meadow after another, each a blanket of flowers. The creek banks are equally colorful, decorated with tall, colorful stalks. The expansive meadows at the southeast end of Lukens Lake are the final highlight, where you can enjoy concentric rings of color, each indicating a different species growing an increasing distance from the lakeshore."
