San Juan Hill Professional Review and Guide
"This is a straightforward hike to the high point of Chino Hills State Park, 1,781-foot San Juan Hill, from the Quarter Horse
Staging Area in Yorba Linda. It is a bit longer than a route from the Rolling M Ranch, but it requires less driving."
--Jerry Schad and David Money Harris, Afoot & Afield: Orange County (Wilderness Press).

Don't misunderstand the two stars. This is a great hike. A solid hike up the hill. This trail is not technical, not remote, easy for a novice hiker, and a great challenge for kids. There are a lot of bikes on the trail and its not very remote.
