Indian Valley Reservoir Professional Review and Guide
"This place is hands down one of my favorite still-water locations. I like the challenge of working amongst timber, stumps, and stick-ups. Boy, oh boy, does this place answer that calling! Bass, crappie, and wood make a terrific combination, though this habitat is not for the faint of heart. Expect to lose some flies, but expect to catch some wonderful fish in return! The water is usually clear and warm. Canoes and kayaks can give you an edge maneuvering around this tight cover. Types of Fish: Largemouth smallmouth, and spotted bass; crappie; panfish; rainbow trout. This fly-fishing chapter describes the "where, when, and how" for fishing in this area. It includes a full-page map and information on the known hatches, suggested equipment to use, the best flies to use, season, limits, nearby accommodations, and camping."
