Lake Eleanor Open Space Professional Review and Guide
"Hike along a lovely ridge and enjoy fantastic views of Lake Eleanor, Lake Sherwood, and Las Virgenes Reservoir. This trail starts off in one neighborhood, and ends in a different neighborhood. While most would assume this kind of hike would not include amazing scenery, that would be a horrible assumption. The mountain and lake views on this trip are truly incredible. Pointed peaks dart above the horizon, while sparkling liquid jewels glimmer in blue below. Yes, tracts of houses do enter the views along the trail, but there are many places along the route where it is possible to forget just how close to suburban civilization this trail really is. The terrain is rugged and quite rocky, and in some spots it is easy to lose footing, but it is a worthwhile trip for anyone. It is relatively free of strenuous elevation gains— surprisingly flat given that the trail follows the ridgeline for the entire distance."
