Castle Dome Trail Professional Review and Guide

"In Castle Crags State Park, those out for the day often mingle with the thru-hikers completing the 2650-mile Pacific Crest Trail. It’s a place where campers with kids out for a weekend of fun can share a meal and a story with someone making the months-long trek from Mexico to Canada. The park also offers swimming and fishing along the upper Sacramento River, hiking in the backcountry, and grand views of Mount Shasta from the exciting Castle Dome Trail. There’s a great waterfall (Burstarse Falls) and cool springs to recharge the water bottles. There’s also the 6000-foot glacier-polished granite spires that give the park its name."

Continuous climb from the parking lot to the dome. We took our time and got many fantastic pictures.
