    Hayden Flat Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Finding the campground: From Weaverville, drive west on CA 299 for 29 miles. About the campground: Hayden Flat is divided in two sections, with some sites along the Trinity River and some across CA 299 in a small grove of trees.

The Trinity is a Wild and Scenic River, and experienced rafters and kayakers will enjoy this stretch. Fishing is good for salmon in summer and steelhead in late fall. Campers here have easy access to the river, including a swimming beach. Elevation 1,200 feet. Stay limit 14 days. Open all year."
