Adams Lake Professional Review and Guide
"Pleasant Adams Lake is only a half-hour horseback ride or an hour-plus hike from a trailhead along the Coffee Creek Road. A long time ago, off-road vehicles had access to the lake, which seems hard to believe nowadays. The 1-acre lake sits below a rugged-looking, 7500-foot granite peak and is bordered by a lush, flower-dotted meadow on the opposite side. A unique patch of cattails thrives near the outlet, wetland plants that we haven’t seen anywhere else in the Alps. So close to a trailhead, fishing is only fair for pan-sized eastern brook trout. The muddy banks and bottom make the idea of swimming in the lake a trifle unappealing."
