Indian Head Hike is a very quick and easy hike. The trail has enough switch backs to keep the elevation decline easily manageable. You may want to take a minute or two break coming back up the trail, but most people will not need the rest. There are good views of the rushing Kaweah River from the trail. The bottom the trail ends at the river’s edge. The rock formation at the bottom of the trail is smooth from high water flows. The bottom of the hike is river bed, is a medium size area, but has many out copings to sit comfortably and watch and listen to the Kaweah River.
