This loop hike begins on the Hazelwood Nature Trail and circles through giant sequoia groves to the grassy wildflower-covered Huckleberry Meadow. At the meadow is Squatter’s Cabin, an 1880s one-room log cabin. The cabin was abandoned when the settler filed a land claim and discovered the land was already owned by Hale Tharp.
