Crescent Meadow is a stream-fed, flower-filled meadow rimmed with firs and giant sequoias. It is one of the most picturesque meadows in the park. This hike links several paths, forming a loop through groves of giant sequoias. The hike leads to Tharp’s Log, a pioneer’s home built inside a fallen giant sequoia. Hale Tharp lived here during the summers from 1861 to 1890, pasturing his cattle in the meadows.
