San Buenaventura State Beach extends for two miles along the Ventura coastline along a low dune ridge. Nestled in the southern portion of the state park is Marina Park, a palm-studded oceanfront park on the north peninsula of Ventura Harbor. The well-developed harbor was carved out of the dunes and has two separate marinas. The grassland park has sandy beaches, seagulls, playground equipment, and benches fronting the harbor. It is a great spot for observing boats coming in and out of the harbor.
