Pine City/Canyon Trail

Pine City/Canyon Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Except for a few mine shafts grated over for public safety, all that remains of Pine City is the wind rustling through the pines. Still, the short and easy walk to the Pine City site provides ample opportunities for exploration and for savoring its bouldery beauty. The troad maintains an even grade across a high Mojave Desert plateau covered with Joshua trees. A hike to the picturesque former mining camp of Pine City, or a larger point-to-point hike past the site and down a colorful canyon with several steep rock pitches ending near the North Entrance."

This is an excellent trail for the beginner. The trail is an easy walk with moderate elevation gain. it's really interesting to see pine trees and cactus along the way.
