Due to its lower elevation and sheltered, south-facing cliffs, Indian Cove is a good choice for cold winter days. With an elevation of around 3,200 feet, Indian Cove is 1,000 feet lower than the Hidden Valley area, making it a warmer choice when winter cold fronts, and their associated cruel winds, sweep through the area. The south facing cliffs can be too hot to comfortably climb during the warmer months.

Nearby City: Twentynine Palms
Season: Climbing is possible year-round at Joshua Tree, although the prime climbing season is spring and fall. If I had to pick the two best months for reliable, comfortable weather, Id pick April and October.
