Easily accessible from a high trailhead, with great views of the Rock Creek–area peaks, especially Bear Creek Spire. Mount Morgan is the large, sweeping peak on the left when looking from the trailhead. Mosquito Flat provides a fine trailhead at almost 10,000 feet that affords easier access to high peaks than anywhere in the Sierra save Tuolumne Meadows. Mount Morgan is the easiest climb among the major peaks in the Rock Creek Basin.
