Eagle Crest Trail

Eagle Crest Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Eagle Crest Trail offers you a perplexing choice of three beautiful and very different valleys: White Chief Canyon, Eagle Creek, and Mosquito Creek. In White Chief Canyon, the rocks on the hillsides will dazzle you with their varying shades of white, red, and gray. The hillsides, which appear to have oozed down from somewhere above, end abruptly at the edge of the rich green meadows that coat the valley floor. Eagle Lake Trail leads to an enchanting, man-enhanced (dammed) lake and is the most popular of the three destinations. Mosquito Creek Valley, the most challenging hike of the three, lives up to its name with plenty of the plaguey critters at each of the five pretty lakes and the countless fascinating ponds."
