Circle Meadow

Circle Meadow Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This trek around sequoia-rimmed Circle Meadow is a peaceful extension of the Congress Trail. The trail is away from the crowds and tours some less-visited named trees. Begin this excursion by following the Congress Trail (Hike 13) for 1.5 miles to the five-way junction at the McKinley Tree.

Make a sharp left and follow the southbound trail toward Circle Meadow. You first come to the Room Tree, a large, fire-hollowed sequoia that you can enter. Beyond, you reach the Founder’s Group, dedicated to the individuals who helped establish Sequoia National Park."

"A journey of contrasts, the Circle Meadow Loop begins and ends on the heavily used, paved Congress Trail, passing a number of notable sequoias on the way. The middle part of the trip is on infrequently used sections of the Trail of the Sequoias and Circle Meadow Trail."
