Sunol Regional Wilderness Professional Review and Guide
"This loop in a 6,858-acre wilderness will take you along Alameda Creek, up through tranquil wooded canyons, past Indian Joe Cave Rocks, and onto grassy slopes covered with California poppies, lupine, and wild mustard in spring. Little Yosemite, with misting water cascading over boulders in the gorge, is especially heavy in early spring. If you compare it to the real Yosemite, you’ll be disappointed, but the falls are still picturesque and a wonderful discovery. Traverse a ridge and head down a canyon with weathered green serpentine and sandstone outcrops, back through oak woodland, before finishing by the creek again. Trails Surface: Single-track dirt path and double-track trail."
