It is 18.9 miles long and begins at 393 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 37.4 miles with a total elevation gain of 1,496 feet. Walnut Rest Area, Coyote Ranch, Eucalyptus Rest Area, Sycamore Rest Area, and another picnic site can be seen along the trail.
