Quaking Aspen Campground

Quaking Aspen Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Quaking Aspen Campground spans the entire range of camping available in this part of the Sierras. Quaking Aspen is developed, clean, well maintained, and set in a stand of red fir, not quaking aspen as its name infers. Quaking Aspen Campground lies by meadows of willow, aspen, and yarrow. Brewer’s Ponderosa Lodge is a fun place to grab a beer and chili or to pick up ice, but don’t plan on shopping there.

Springville is the last port of call for supplies. This pretty little town in Tule River country has just about everything you’ll need. Before Jedediah Smith trapped beaver here in 1827, the Yaudanchi (a subtribe of the Yokut) lived in the foothills during the winter and trekked to the mountains to gather food in the summer."
