Awesome trip. The hike starts off with a challenging ascent. Once into the meadows, though, it's just beautiful views. Showers Lake has some great camping spots and tons of phenomenal view points. It's also a great home base for day hikes. Mosquitos can get pretty nasty during the middle of the summer.

Backpacked in with three of my sons - ages 12, 10, and 7. It was a great hike to a great lake. The terrain was challenging for the little guy but do-able since we were not on a schedule. We took our time and had a great three day weekend!
