Bartholomew Park

Bartholomew Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A few blocks east of downtown Sonoma is Bartholomew Park, a privately owned historic park that is open to the public. Home to the eponymously named winery, the loop through the park’s backcountry is a great primer to a lot of the best of Wine Country hiking: vineyards, redwoods, creeks, beautiful views, and access to wineries right off of the trail."

"Bartholomew Memorial Park is a little known gem tucked into the hills less than two miles northeast of Sonoma. The 375-acre park leases part of its diverse land to Bartholomew Winery. This hike is not a meandering stroll through a winery, it only begins and ends there. The trail is a backcountry hike winding through oakcovered mountain slopes and redwood groves. The hike follows portions of Arroyo Seco and the South Fork of Arroyo Seco to a pond, lake, cave, and two impressive overlooks." Read more
