Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Tule (too-lee) Lake sits in the Klamath Basin, a region of vast wetlands providing habitat for 353 species of birds. Many are migratory, stopping over to rest and refuel before continuing on their journeys. Geese, swans, and ducks of all types pass through, peaking in numbers during March and early November and swelling the number of birds in the Klamath Basin to more than 1 million."
