Tar Gap Trail Professional Review and Guide

"The Tar Gap Trail is one of two routes from Mineral King to the South Fork Kaweah River via Hockett Meadows. (The Atwell–Hockett Trail is the other route.) The trail is primarily a stock route, but the first few miles are perfect for a day hike. This hike begins in the Cold Springs Campground and crosses Mosquito Creek to Mineral Creek."
