    Sequoia National Park Cold Springs

Sequoia National Park: Cold Springs Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The road to Cold Springs is narrow, unpaved, rough in places, and open only during the summer. A network of trails leading from the campground vicinity makes Cold Springs a major jumping-off point for backpack trips in almost any direction. The most frequent destinations are the many small lakes in the area.

One popular loop trail visits the Franklin Lakes, ascends Franklin Pass (11,680 feet), and returns via Sawtooth Pass (11,700 feet) and Monarch Lakes. Elevation 7,500 feet. Stay limit fourteen days. Open approximately May 15 to September 15."
