Spring Lake Regional Park

Spring Lake Regional Park Professional Review and Guide

"Spring Lake Regional Park sits in the foothills of eastern Santa Rosa between Howarth Park and Annadel State Park. The 320-acre park is among the most popular parks in Santa Rosa. The centerpiece of the park is Spring Lake, a 72-acre lake constructed in 1962 as a flood control reservoir. The lake is used for sailing, canoeing, and fishing (bass, bluegill, and trout). The expansive park also has a campground, picnic area, a three-acre spring-fed swimming lagoon, and miles of multi-use trails. A paved biking path and a dirt eques trian trail intertwine around the lake. Spring Lake lies between Howarth Park to the west (Hike 79) and Annadel State Park to the east (Hikes 81–85). Several connector paths from the adjacent park join this paved loop around Spring Lake. Bikes are allowed on the loop."

I absolutely love this hike! Lots of beautiful scenery that takes you around the lake, parts of the trail are paved, some parts are dirt but still stroller accessible. Lots of families and pets come here in the evening. The whole hike took me about 2 hours (this includes stopping to enjoy the views)
