"This loop is a scenic hike around Spring Lake, a small flood- control reservoir on the edge of Santa Rosa. With natural areas interspersed with areas developed with recreational amenities, it is a great option for an easy hike just moments away from the city. Despite being the fifth largest city in the San Francisco Bay Area, Santa Rosa has done an excellent job retaining a degree of small town charm. Numerous factors have contributed to this success, including the maintenance of greenbelts between it and neighboring cities like Sebastopol and Rohnert Park." Read more
