Colgan Creek Park Professional Review and Guide

"Colgan Creek originates in the oak woodlands of Taylor Mountain. The creek flows westward across the Santa Rosa Plain, draining nearly 5,000 acres. Colgan Creek, part of the Laguna de Santa Rosa watershed, is a flood control channel. It joins the south side of the Laguna between Sebastopol and Rohnert Park. This mile-long trail follows a portion of the creek from Todd Road by Stony Point Road to Elsie Allen High School. The trail is not a wilderness hike but a scenic stroll on a paved streamside path. There are sweeping views of the Laguna watershed across the Santa Rosa Plain to Sonoma Mountain."
