    Pleasure Point Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is a very consistent spot located in Santa Cruz. Aptly named, Pleasure Point is one of the most consistent breaks in California. This part of Monterey Bay is able to capture a lot of swell from many directions and is always worth a look. Wave shape is tide-dependent but generally very good.

There are four main peaks at Pleasure Point. Sewer Peak is just right of the point as you’re looking out and has a bowling right and a challenging left. Suicides is a small right that breaks a little outside Pleasure Point. First Peak is just to the left of the point as you’re looking out and has a long right and short left. Second Peak is just left of First Peak as you’re looking out and is a great longboard wave. Sewer Peak and Suicides are the most exposed to northwest wind because they aren’t protected by the point, and as a result they aren’t quite as consistent as First and Second Peaks. There’s a lot of rock reef at Pleasure Point, and the bigger the swell gets, the farther out waves will break at all four peaks."
